My path has been shaped by many teachers and mentors that have provided guideposts on my journey. S.N. Goenka’s teaching of vipassana meditation laid the foundation for my inner grounding since 2013. Joanna Macy and the Work That Reconnects gave language to describe the world we’re living in and how to partake in the Great Turning toward the world I want to be a part of. The communities in Bangladesh, India, Senegal, Guinea, Madagascar, and Italy (among other places) that have hosted me over the course of a few decades imparted powerful lessons on hospitality, gratitude, and compassion, humility. Countless animals and plants grew into positions of prominence in expanding my understanding of the responsibility of being a human on this Earth.
